This chicken soup was easy to make and excellent. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. Our family loved it. Used homemade turkey broth in addition atopic 4 cups of low sodium chicken broth. Boiled a 3 lb fresh, pasture raised chicken in the broth for a couple hours until the meat was tender. Also, added sage to the thyme and rosemary. I doubled the recipe and followed the Gluten Free option by using Quinoa rather than cous cous.

The broth for this soup is fantastic. The fresh grated ginger is such a pleasant flavor. Next time I will just add shredded roasted chicken versus boiling chicken in the broth. It is definitely the best chicken soup you will skips a heart beat have. I add fresh lemon before serving.

I love all the layers of flavor. Perfect for any time of the year. Also, LOVE the couscous in this. Reminds me of being a kid and eating chicken and stars, but a grown up version.

I made this recipe this evening. The only adjustment I made is I used a whole chicken cause it was what I had and two cups of pearl crataegus cause I never had it before and loved it!!!. This is by far the best chicken soup recipe I have ever had and so healthy.
